Save the Date: 2010 Food Summit

Get ready for the 1st Annual No More Empty Pots Food Summit on Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 8AM to 4PM. The summit will be at Family Housing Advisory Services, 2401 Lake ST in Omaha. We are planning for 50 to 100 attendees. The cost is $20 per person and includes all materials, food and drink for the day.  We will post confirmed details as they are available.

The summit is a working conference.  There will be pre-conference surveys and online sessions to gather planning data and information. This pre-work should give a good foundation for an action plan addressing the following in a pilot project:

1. commercial community kitchen
2. nutrition education
3. food preparation
4. food production
5. value-added products
6. food distribution
7. marketing
8. economic development
